WVHS students gather for a group photo at the 2025 HV Construction Career Day

On March 28th, Warwick Valley High School students traveled to Rockland Community College to participate in the annual Hudson Valley Construction Career Day. The event exposes students to the vast array of opportunities within the construction field, which continues to grow and evolve.

At the event, students engaged one-on-one with industry experts, exploring the many career pathways available to them in the building and construction trades. They browsed informative displays, checked out the latest technologies, and even got to participate in hands-on activities and interactive demonstrations.

Some of the specific career pathways represented included masonry, machine operators, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and project management. With the demand for skilled tradespeople on the rise, events like these provide essential exposure to the industry for Warwick Valley students considering a future in construction.
