Community Message: Motor Vehicle Accident

This afternoon at approximately 2:40 p.m., a motor vehicle accident occurred on West Street in front of the Middle School near the District Office entrance/exit. Two vehicles were involved in the collision, which resulted in one vehicle leaving the roadway and coming into contact with a student who was waiting in the grass shoulder area to cross the street. A Warwick Police Officer was directing traffic in the immediate vicinity at the time. We are relieved to share that, according to the family, the student did not sustain serious injuries.

This incident serves as an important reminder for all drivers to remain alert and exercise caution during student arrival and dismissal times, when traffic and pedestrian activity are at their highest. The District will continue to review procedures and protocols to support the safety of our students and families.
