Community Message: Bus Incident on June 3, 2026

This morning, Wednesday, June 3, 2026, a Warwick Valley school bus transporting students to Park Avenue Elementary School was involved in a motor vehicle accident with a passenger vehicle on Kings Highway.

Local law enforcement and emergency responders arrived promptly at the scene to assess the situation and provide assistance. District administrators and the District Nurse Coordinator also responded to the scene.

Students were safely transferred to another bus and transported directly to Park Avenue Elementary School.

At this time, no major injuries have been reported among the students or the bus driver. Out of an abundance of caution, four students are being evaluated by medical professionals. Parents and guardians of all students on the bus were promptly notified by school officials.

The safety and well-being of our students remain our highest priority. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide support as needed. We are grateful to the law enforcement officers and emergency personnel who responded quickly and professionally to ensure the safety of everyone involved.
