Warwick Valley Middle School eighth grader, Wildcats girls varsity player, and Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) player to attend five-day identification event in Fayetteville, Georgia!

Teagan Currid is an eighth-grade student at Warwick Valley Middle School. She plays on the Wildcats girls varsity soccer team and for World Class FC 2012 ECNL. Teagan was invited to attend the US Soccer Federation’s U-14 Girls North Region Talent Identification (TID) Mini-Camp in Fayetteville, Georgia on April 15-19. The camp brings together the top 80 players in the region for advanced training and on-field evaluation led by US Soccer staff.

The TID program supports the Women’s Youth National Team pathway, and the North Region includes the Mid-America, Great Lakes, Northeast, and Mid-Atlantic areas.

“We are incredibly proud of Teagan for earning this opportunity. She represents the kind of hard work and character we value in the Wildcats community,” said Greg Sirico, Warwick Valley Central School District Athletic Director. “Being selected for a US Soccer Talent ID event reflects her commitment to getting better every day and her ability to compete at a high level. This mini-camp is an outstanding developmental experience, and we’re excited to see her represent Warwick as she continues to grow as a player.”

Teagan was a key contributor to the Wildcats final four soccer appearance this fall, when the team posted a stellar record of 16-3-1! Under the leadership of second-year head coach Taylor Mann, the team captured its first Section IX Championship since 1982. Notably, Teagan's sister, Ciara, also played a vital role for the Wildcats throughout the season.

US Soccer’s Under-14 TID program is designed to discover a larger base of high-potential players through widespread scouting at the U-14 age group, build the player pool foundation for the U-15 Girls’ National Teams, and introduce players to “The US Way.” The mini-camp format helps evaluate and inspire players, while accelerating development through training, games, and education sessions led by US Soccer staff.

Congratulations and good luck, Teagan!
